A friend was visiting from London in January. I took him to a greasy spoon called Voulas Off Shore Café for breakfast. Carter hates the place and most other restaurants for the matter, so it gave me the opportunity to step out. This was the longshoreman’s breakfast split in half. It is a classic Seattle hangout. I am amazed how good the photos are from my iPhone, and I have an old one. I have not upgraded to a newer phone for fear that the image quality is beyond what I want. It’s like I want the Diana camera look, not the Hasselblad look. But I probably will upgrade to the next version so Carter can have my old 11. His iPhone 7 is getting a little long in the tooth. And won’t be supported by Apple after this year. I don’t think I could have made this image on film or at least on the fly like this.
