Your travels with Howard sound like they were fun. We don’t travel any more. Carter needs a walker and has limited mobility. Even a day trip in the car would be an effort for him. I haven’t been on a plane since 2019. And not seriously traveled since going to Barcelona in 2012. I claim to not miss it, but wonder if I have only suppressed the desire to travel because I can’t. I did so much traveling in the 90’s and 2000s, I knew my way around Paris and Rome better than any city in the US. Maybe some day I will jet off to someplace again. But not in the immediate future. In the meantime, I am comfortable where I am. Seattle is still an amazing city and I live in a great neighborhood with everything I need at my fingertips. And my studio is the icing on the cake. Not sure what I would do without it. It is more than just a place to create, but a space that gives my life affirmation. In this space I am an artist and not just a hobbyist. I am not sure what I will be the day I give this space up. It is not something I care to think about too much.
