I especially liked the one in the library with the “sun” glasses. 🙂 With regard to our school program, we have started a new nonprofit foundation (UnityWorks) and recently launched a pilot program in Yakima, starting with 4 schools – including Davis High. Our goals are to educate staff and students about living in a diverse society, to promote culturally-responsive teaching, to increase equity and reduce prejudice, to improve race relations, to raise graduation rates, to close achievement and opportunity gaps, and to encourage positive multicultural change.
